Socrates is at Chryssafinis & Polyviou LLC since 2013, having completed his legal traineeship with honors (ranked 2nd in his class). He later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with distinction, having awarded a full scholarship from CIIM.

Represented numerous prestigious clients before the District Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in a wide range of cases focusing on banking litigation, insurance, tort, contract and criminal cases.

Represented the island’s leading insurance company in dozens of accident, negligence and personal injury cases. Provided strategic counsel on complex insurance claims and case handling.

Founding Member of the Cyprus Forum of Insurance Lawyers (CFIL).

Acted as legal representative for one of the leading banks in Cyprus in high-profile criminal cases before the Assize Court.

Represented one of the largest Airlines globally, before the criminal district court.

Provided expert legal counsel and bespoke legal opinions to key corporate clients and large-scale enterprises across Cyprus.

Successfully managed and handled hundreds of capital securities, contingent convertible bonds and bail-in cases, representing one of the biggest banking institutions in Cyprus.

Represented and advised credit-acquiring companies, regarding Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) and case management.

Provided legal counsel, represented before courts and managed disputes for a major oil and gas corporation.

Managed complex court proceedings relating to preliminary prohibitive injunctions and other various interim court orders.

Appointed as an Investigating Officer in numerous occasions to conduct inquiries, interview witnesses and suspects, and draft comprehensive reports regarding suspected match-fixing incidents in Cyprus football, flagged by UEFA.
